Dr. Tyler Gatteau has been committed to health and happiness for as long as he can remember. A native of Fort Collins, Colorado, Dr. Gatteau earned his Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. After spending time in the US Marine Corps soon after, he switched gears and decided to serve his community through alternative health and medicine. He obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree through Life West Chiropractic College in Hayward, California. At Life Chiropractic College West, Dr. Gatteau was awarded the “Clinical Excellence Award”, a prestigious and difficult award only offered to a select two per year. His desire to connect with and heal patients is an easily detectable trait. Soon after graduating as a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2007, and before opening his own practice, Dr. Gatteau worked as the Clinic Outreach Director for his Alma Mater to help spread his passion about Chiropractic to his local community and throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

Dr. Gatteau moved to his native Fort Collins, CO in the Fall of 2008. Now with 4 daughters, he has since opened The Human Health Place (since 2009), with a desire to offer his extensive knowledge around physiology and human anatomy to his neighboring communities. He works daily with groups of all ages, including student athletes and patients with chronic pain.  He looks forward to serving you and your health needs.

Our Philosophy:

“Doctor” in Latin means “Teacher”. We want to bring forth the idea that each individual can learn about their own body and learn what needs to be done at home or on a daily and weekly basis for prevention of “dis-ease.” We do this in the office every day with our clientele. We still believe that regular Chiropractic care is important to maintain optimal health, but we also feel that our patients can help routine visits with at-home stretching and exercises.

Our clinic goals are as follows:

  • To bring back the doctor-patient relationship of the past… where good quality time is spent with each client, without breaking the bank.
  • To combine the Chiropractic adjustment with massage, stretching, and strengthening of the stabilization muscle groups in order to create the perfect balance of wellness care. No “rack ’em, crack ’em” care here.
  • To promote health through wellness activities and groups here in Fort Collins. We have periodic e-mails and mailings to inform you of our upcoming outdoor and indoor activities and group meetings. These help to increase your overall health and your knowledge about food, recent studies and articles, and general health topics.
